Childcare Expansion Project

Council is exploring building a new Mississippi Mills Childcare Services facility at 34 Victoria St. in Almonte. The proposed project would replace the current childcare centre on State Street. The current facility houses 73 childcare spaces. With Canada wide Early Learning and Childcare (CWELCC) funding, administered by Lanark County, the expansion would allow for an additional 78 spaces. That would bring the total licensed capacity to 151 CWELCC spaces, along with additional room for future growth.
