Swimming

Swimming programs are available at pools in the surrounding areas of Mississippi Mills. These pools are located in Carleton Place, Arnprior and Ottawa. If you're looking for other swimming options (competitive and non-competitive) for yourself or your child, check out the Carleton Place Water Dragons. 

If you want to cool off from the summer sun, you can check out Mississippi Mills beaches in Almonte and Pakenham. Please note these are unsupervised beaches. Also, check with the Lanark, Leeds and Grenville Health Unit for water conditions before swimming. 

Aquatic Reimbursement Pilot Program

To help offset the costs of these swimming programs, Mississippi Mills has launched an Aquatic Reimbursement Pilot Program. This program was designed to provide residents of Mississippi Mills with reimbursement for the difference between resident and non-resident fees charged for the use of aquatic programs in Carleton Place, Arnprior or West-Ottawa.
