For our final department 2025 Budget Spotlight, we highlight Corporate Services.

Our Corporate Services department consists of:

  • Council

  • Administration (Office of the CAO, Clerks Department, Communications, Elections)

  • Facilities

  • Finance

  • Human Resources

  • Information Technology

The finance team within Corporate Services manages tax and water billings, budget and expenditure information, fiscal policies, accounts payable/receivable, payroll and cashier services.

2025 PROPOSED CAPITAL PROJECTS – CORPORATE SERVICES

The draft 2025 Budget includes the following items for Corporate Services:

Administration

  • $18,830 – Municipal website software transition

  • $5,000 – Public engagement initiatives for Communications (new outreach, planning, publications)

  • $57,600 – Network upgrades

  • $7,500 – Updates to the Water & Wastewater Rate Study

Facilities

  • $150,000 – Building condition assessment for Phase 1 of the Municipal Space Needs Assessment

  • $22,000 – Wheelchair lift for Ron Caron Auditorium stage in Almonte Old Town Hall

  • $30,000 – Plumbing repairs at the Almonte Old Town Hall
