Councillor Denny Ferguson

I grew up in rural Renfrew and enjoyed farming, picking tobacco (by hand), and participating in every available sport including the odd trip to Portage Que. to bend the elbow. My wife Margie (almost 60 years) and I are proud parents of four grown children, nine grandchildren and three great grandchildren. Mississippi Mills (Pakenham) with its history, friendly Ottawa Valley residents, location, nature and opportunity, make it an enviable place to call home for over 54 years.

Interests include farming, bush work, sports, music, dancing, visiting friends and neighbours. I attended Renfrew Collegiate, Algonquin College Business, retired RCMP Officer and continued working in CSIS, Public Service (Industrial Security Specialist) and Private Sector National Security Manager. I've enjoyed the opportunity of chairing every committee of Council over 30 plus pleasurable years serving our community. I continue to volunteer, including President of Valley Heritage Radio.
