Almonte Cenotaph Renovation Project Begins Monday, April 15
Please be advised the Almonte Cenotaph Renovation Project is set to begin Monday, April 15.
The first phase of the project involves the removal of the Norway Maple adjacent to the Cenotaph, as well as the installation of the poppy garden bed.
No road closures are necessary, but crews will be set up along a portion of Little Bridge Street. One lane of traffic will be maintained.
Crews will gain access to the poppy bed from the Ottawa Valley Recreational Trail. Pylons will be set up to provide a safe distance between pedestrians and equipment.
Throughout next week, a fence will be erected around the Cenotaph site in preparation for the cleaning of the structure and addition of the name.
