Downtown Almonte Construction Update – June 23, 2023

The Downtown Almonte Revitalization Project is entering its final stages. Please see below for the latest construction update, as of June 29, 2023.

Phase E – Little Bridge Street

Cavanagh Construction has completed the installation of the new sewer and watermain within Phase E – Little Bridge Street of the downtown core reconstruction project. Concrete wall repairs have been completed along Little Bridge Street, allowing for concrete sidewalk installations to begin in the upcoming week. 

Once concrete work has been completed, road crews will begin grading work in preparation for asphalt paving. This work is on schedule to be completed before end of July 2023.

Phase F – Mill Street (upper section)

Cavanagh Construction has completed concrete work on the upper section of Mill Street between Little Bridge Street and Bridge Street. The roadway has been prepared for placement of asphalt.

Asphalt is scheduled to be completed on Friday, June 30, 2023. Mill Street will once again be open to traffic once this work has been completed.
