Fire Risk Status Lowered to Level 2

The fire risk level has been dropped back to Level 2 – Moderate Risk – in the Municipality of Mississippi

Mills as of July 18, 2023.

This means that conditions for burning are suitable but residents should use caution due to dry conditions.

The Mississippi Mills Fire Department reminds all residents that they must have an activated burn permit before burning. Residents in eligible areas must obtain a free permit online at mm.burnpermits.com, or in person at the Municipal Office or Station 1 (Almonte) during business hours.
