It is with sadness that I share the passing of Gavin Donnelly.  Gavin had been an employee of Mississippi Mills since 2008 as Events Assistant & Facility Maintenance at Almonte Old Town Hall.  His genuine care and concern for the municipality, the facility and the organizations who use the venue were clear to everyone he dealt with.   Taking great pride in his role, he always went above and beyond to help.

Gavin also served his community as an active and dedicated volunteer, contributing to Celtfest, Almonte Civitan, the Almonte Fair Board, Augusta Street Park and Light Up the Night to name only a few.  He was well respected for his determination and willingness to pitch in any time there was work to be done.  Gavin will be missed by many.

As an employee of the Municipality, all flags at municipal buildings are lowered in Gavin’s honour.  Please keep Gavin’s wife, Brenda, and the Donnelly family in your thoughts and prayers during this solemn time.
