Lanark Community Alliance Welcomes Clayton Seniors Housing Corporation as a New Member
Press Release – Lanark Community Alliance
The Lanark Community Alliance (LCA) is excited to announce that Clayton Seniors Housing Corporation (CSHC) has officially joined our Alliance. This partnership marks a significant step forward in our vision to create inclusive communities and enhance services for older adults across Lanark County.
Since 1990, Clayton Seniors Housing Corporation has been a vital part of the Lanark County community, providing safe and affordable housing to local seniors at the Linn Bower apartment building. With 25 units, 13 of which are rent-geared-to-income, CSHC has earned a strong reputation for its deep commitment to serving seniors with compassion and dignity.
“We are excited to join LCA. By joining forces, CSHC will benefit from LCA’s administrative support, governance, and operational expertise, ensuring smooth financial operations and streamlined processes,” noted Paul Waters, Chair CSHC Board of Directors. “This collaboration will allow CSHC to focus even more on its core mission—providing safe and affordable housing to local seniors—while continuing to operate as an independent legal entity.”
LCA Board Chair, Lorne Heslop, sees the benefits, too.
“This partnership brings tremendous value not only to CSHC but also to LCA. The addition of CSHC strengthens our collective capacity to serve the community,” he said. “CSHC brings with it a legacy of dedication to senior care and a wealth of experience in affordable housing management. Their inclusion in the Alliance enhances our ability to address the diverse needs of older adults across Lanark County, enriching our community and expanding our impact.”
As part of this integration, three members of the current CSHC Board of Directors will join the LCA Board, ensuring CSHC retains its identity and legacy while benefiting from unified leadership and administrative efficiency.
“Clayton Seniors Housing Corporation’s decision to join the Lanark Community Alliance reflects our shared vision to positively impact the quality of life for seniors in our communities,” summed up LCA Board CEO, Robert Eves. “We are thrilled to welcome such a dedicated organization to our Alliance. Their expertise and commitment will undoubtedly strengthen our collective efforts and further our impact across Lanark County.”
