Local Covid-19 Vaccination Clinic

With the addition of a Vaccination Clinic to the Covid-19 assessment and testing services offered on-site at the Almonte General Hospital, there has been a great deal of excitement along with many questions from residents.

A collaborative team of staff and physicians from the Almonte General Hospital (AGH), Carleton Place & District Memorial Hospital (CPDMH), Lanark County Paramedic Service and the Ottawa Valley Family Health Team is working alongside the Leeds, Grenville & Lanark District Health Unit to offer vaccinations close to home for our community. The Municipality remains ready and eager to offer support.

“It is encouraging to know that the Vaccination Centre at AGH is seeing more and more people as we work through the vaccination rollout.” said Mayor Christa Lowry. “The Municipality stands ready to help in any way we can to support the tremendous effort and dedication of the Collaborative Team and our Health Unit as the local vaccination program continues to grow.” 

Municipal staff are working with Almonte General Hospital Staff to plan for an expanded vaccination clinic. Municipal facilities and staff support will be available to the collaborative team when needed.

We remind residents that the Leeds, Grenville & Lanark District Health Unit  continues to be the lead on the local vaccination program. Their COVID-19 Distribution and Administration Roll Out Plan identifies the approximate times when people in Leeds, Grenville and Lanark can expect to receive the vaccine. This is the best place to get up-to-date information.

Residents can check the Health Unit’s eligibility tool to see if they are eligible to receive the vaccine. The tool will be updated regularly as the eligible groups change.
