March Break Movie & Skate Events in Mississippi Mills

It’s time to think about your March Break plans and the Municipality of Mississippi Mills has got you covered!

Our Recreation & Culture Department is sponsoring two FREE March Break – Movie & Skate events to keep you busy.

The first event is set for Wednesday, March 13 at the John Levi Community Centre in Almonte. Free public skating will be offered from 1 to 3 p.m. and the movie ‘Migration,’ will be shown in the upper hall of the community centre from 2 to 3:30 p.m. Mississippi Mills Youth Centre will host a canteen with goodies and refreshments available at an extra cost.

The animated film ‘Migration,’ was released in 2023 and follows the story of a family of ducks who leave New England, bound for adventure in Jamaica, but end up lost in New York City.

The next day, Thursday, March 14, the Movie & Skate event moves to the Stewart Community Centre in Pakenham. Enjoy free public skating from 2 to 4 p.m., with Disney’s ‘Wish’ to be screened in the upper hall from 3 to 4:30 p.m. MMYC will also host the canteen.

In ‘Wish,’ the main character, a young girl named Asha, gets more than she bargained for when wishing on a star.
