Mississippi Mills Business Breakfast – February 19, 2025
Join us for our first Mississippi Mills Business Breakfast of 2025 on Wednesday, February 19 at the Almonte Civitan Hall (500 Almonte Street).
It all starts at 7 a.m. with coffee and network. Breakfast and presentations get underway at 7:30 a.m., followed by more opportunities for networking after breakfast. The cost to attend is $15 per person and the registration deadline is Thursday, February 13 at noon. Register with Dawn McDonald at dmcdonald@mississippimills.ca. Register now and pay at the door (cash preferred, receipts provided, debit available). If you register and don't attend, you will be invoiced.
This month, Robin Hull from the Alzheimer Society Lanark Leeds Grenville will discuss their Dementia Friendly Community training program, which provides free tools to local businesses and organizations with the goal of training Canada’s workforce to be dementia friendly.
By providing better support and services for those with dementia, we can enhance the overall quality of life for all. There can also be significant economic benefits. Being recognized as dementia-friendly can improve a community's reputation, making it more attractive to residents, businesses, and visitors who value inclusivity and support for vulnerable populations. Dementia-friendly communities can attract businesses and investors who want to be associated with socially responsible and caring environments, leading to increased economic activity and job creation.
Do you have something to promote or a message to share? At each business breakfast we display a slideshow that rotates throughout the event. If you have an announcement about an event, fundraiser, new program, or anything else you feel would be relevant to the audience send the details to Tiffany MacLaren (tmaclaren@mississippimills.ca) and we'll create a graphic to include in our slideshow.
These breakfast events, hosted by the Municipality of Mississippi Mills, are open to everyone, fostering inclusivity and collaboration. Feel free to encourage a friend or colleague to join you.
