From the Mississippi Mills Public Library (MMPL)

Summer Reading 2024 – You Did It!

Congratulations to all the summer reading club kids!

There were 280 participants this year in both Almonte and Pakenham branches!

To pick up your rewards (fun booky-themed tags!), remember to show your notebook at the front desk, either branch. And kids can now also enter their name in a draw for book prizes (each bundle has books, notebooks and erasers). To enter, show your notebook and library staff will enter your name in the draw. Names are drawn on August 29. Good luck!

Pakenham P.S. Wisdom Writers books are here!

There are 12 books in this fun LOCAL series! The books were created by the grade 5 class at Pakenham Public School – a 2024 Wisdom Writers Project – and are catalogued and part of the MMPL collection. Thanks to a community initiative, these fun titles are shelved at the Pakenham branch and can be reserved, checked out, and enjoyed by everyone! If you don’t have a library card, apply here. MMPL cards are used at Pakenham and Almonte branches and for all our digital library services.
