Are you a beginner and want to know how it works? Are you already a pro and want to ask a technical question? Are a few people in your family interested? (A few in a family/friends can attend together). Do you want to use the library’s 3D printer and need to do the introductory training? Cole can help! Projects are printed during the week.

3D Printing Group

3D Printing Group meet Sunday 7 July, at 10 a.m., Almonte branch. Yeah, it’s summer, show up if you’re around! We’ll do the usual round table. Showcase what you did and learned. We like to hear about failures and learn from them. Question to all, what type of enclosure do you use for your printer? DIY or did you buy something? Hope to see you at the library!

Programs, Events and Updates

A new knitting group is starting Thursday, July 11! Drop in – every Thursday from 5:30 to 6:30 p.m., Almonte branch.

Everyone young and old, and all levels welcome. Come to learn or to share your love of knitting with others.

Irina Shevchenko will offer lessons in the Continental style for those interested.
Needles and yarn will be supplied, or you can bring your favourite ones!

No films in the afternoon in July and August. See you in September, fourth Wednesday of the month!

The Community Pantry (part of the A MEAL FOR ALL program) supports individuals and families right here in Mississippi Mills and we rely on community donations to keep the pantry shelves stocked.

Please consider donating items such as:

  • Breakfast Cereal

  • Canned Tuna

  • Granola Bars

  • Pasta and Sauces

  • Fruit Cups

  • Raman Noodles

  • Kraft Dinner

  • Pet Food

No fresh food or food that needs refrigerating – this is a cabinet only.

Donated items can be left in the Community Pantry Donation Bins at the Almonte branch of the library (155 High Street, Almonte), or in the donation bin at the weekly Thursday Community Breakfast (111 Church Street, Almonte). We are enormously grateful to our generous community, our many dedicated volunteers and our clients for helping to build a caring network of support and kindness!
