Notice of Public Meeting – May 6, 2025 – Development Charges Background Study

On Tuesday, May 6, 2025, the Council of the Municipality of Mississippi Mills will hold a public meeting, pursuant to section 12 of the Development Charges Act, 1997, as amended, to present and obtain public input on the Municipality’s proposed development charges (DC) bylaws and underlying background study.

All interested parties are invited to attend the public meeting in person or virtually. Any person who attends the meeting may make comments relating to the proposed DC bylaws and background study.

The consultant’s report from Watson and Associates was presented at the April 8, 2025 Committee of the Whole meeting.

Comments may be made at the public meeting or in writing, addressed to the deputy clerk. Written submissions received by the clerk’s office prior to April 30, 2025 will be circulated as part of the agenda package.

If you wish to speak in person at the public meeting, please sign in once you arrive. However, if you wish to attend and comment virtually, pre-register with the clerk’s office by emailing clerk@mississippimills.ca with the subject line “DC Bylaw Registered Speaker Request” so we can send you a link. The maximum time per delegation will be five minutes.
