Princess Street Renewal Project Nearing Completion

The renewal of Princess Street in Almonte is on the verge of completion, as the last layer of asphalt was applied on Friday, December 15, allowing full access for vehicle traffic.

We will conclude any outstanding walkway reinstatements before the winter shutdown, and the final landscaping, including sod reinstatement, is scheduled for completion in spring 2024.

This nearly $1.5 million project, undertaken by Thomas Cavanagh Construction Limited, began on July 24 and included the replacement of watermain, sewers and services to property line, road reconstruction, curbs and sidewalks.
