Ride the LT Arrives in Mississippi Mills August 8

Lanark Transportation’s popular Ride the LT program is expanding to Mississippi Mills!

Currently running in Carleton Place, Lanark and Perth, Ride the LT launches in Mississippi Mills on August 8, in partnership with the Municipality of Mississippi Mills. The community bus service is safe, easy and affordable at only $2 per person (round trip).

Ride the LT will offer weekly trips every Thursday from anywhere in Mississippi Mills to either Almonte or Carleton Place. This flexible service gives you the choice of getting picked up or dropped off at a specified location or wherever you like! You can even arrange for additional stops along the route if you have a mobility issue.

ROUTE SCHEDULE

Almonte: First and third Thursday of each month

Pickup/Drop-off: Route begins at the Mississippi Mills Public Library (Almonte Branch) at 10 a.m. Home pickups will be made beforehand. 

• Mississippi Mills Public Library (Almonte Branch): 10 a.m., 10:45 a.m., 11:30 a.m.

• Almonte General Hospital: 10:10 a.m., 10:55 a.m., 11:45 a.m.

• Shoppers Drug Mart: 10:20 a.m., 11:05 a.m., 11:50 a.m.

• Jonsson’s Your Independent Grocer: 10:25 a.m., 11:10 a.m., 11:55 a.m.

• Tim Hortons: 10:35 a.m., 11:20 a.m., 12:05 p.m.

Carleton Place: Second and fourth Thursday of each month

Pickup/Drop-off: Route begins at the Mississippi Mills Public Library (Almonte Branch) at 10 a.m. Home pickups will be made beforehand. 

• Mississippi Mills Public Library (Almonte Branch): 10 a.m., 12:25 p.m.

• FreshCo: 10:20 a.m., 11:05 a.m., 11:50 a.m.

• Tim Hortons: 10:25 a.m., 11:10 a.m., 11:55 a.m.

• Walmart: 10:30 a.m., 11:15 a.m., 12 p.m.

• Giant Tiger: 10:35 a.m., 11:20 a.m., 12:05 p.m.

HOW TO USE IT

Taking advantage of the program is easy! All you have to do is register by calling 613-264-8256 or toll-free at 1-877-445-5777 to book your ride. Please remember to book by Wednesday at 10 a.m. each week.

Then choose your outing – two stops (approximately 45 minutes each) or one stop (approximately 90 minutes).

Both routes will return to the library by 12:30 p.m., with home drop-offs taking place afterward.
