Rural Villages and Vitality Open House at Clayton Community Centre – July 11, 2024

Join the Municipality of Mississippi Mills at the Clayton Community Centre (147 Linn Bower Lane) on Thursday, July 11 for a Rural Villages and Rural Vitality Open House.

This open house, to be held from 2 to 7 p.m., offers the community the opportunity to learn more about Official Plan Amendment (OPA) 28, the Rural Villages and Rural Vitality project, and share ideas that can help our villages and rural areas thrive.

The Rural Villages portion of the project will ensure a thorough assessment of current conditions, needs, opportunities and constraints is done through a vacant land assessment, rural village commercial review and village zoning review.

The Rural Vitality area of the project takes a collaborative process to enhance the rural landscape and foster sustainable economic development and community well-being by identifying rural and agricultural policies, on-farm diversified uses and a rural severance policy review.
