Graphic featuring photo of person smoothing out concrete for a sidewalk with the text 'Sidewalk Replacements in Almonte Ward'

The Municipality will begin sidewalk replacement works in Almonte this week. Construction is anticipated to begin September 19 or shortly afterward.

Royal Crown Construction has been contracted to complete these projects, which involves the demolition and removal of the existing sidewalk as well as the construction of the new sidewalk.

Locations where sidewalks are being replaced are:

  • 126 Martin Street (Almonte District High School)

  • 87 Main Street East

  • 41-47 Harold Street

  • 219 Paterson Street (Ottawa Street and Paterson Street)

  • 27 Euphemia Street

  • Bridge Street (Water Street to Reserve Street)

During this time, pathways or driveways may be blocked. The Municipality and Royal Crown Construction will make every reasonable effort to minimize disturbances during construction.

Please be advised that the fresh concrete and new forms will need time to properly cure before regular activities can resume outside properties.

For more information, contact Project Manager Robert Smith at smithr@mississippimills.ca or 613-256-2064 ext. 404.
