Statement from the Mississippi Mills Fire Chief – April 2 Fires (1)
On April 2, the Mississippi Mills Fire Department responded to multiple grass and exterior fires within the Municipality.
No firefighters were injured in response to these fires. An active fire scene is a stressful environment for our firefighters, families of firefighters, and those affected by these incidents. I would like to remind the public of the importance of refraining from commenting or sharing rumours during emergency situations.
If a firefighter had sustained an injury, the MMFD or Municipality would provide these details to the public.
Thank you to the McNab-Braeside and Arnprior fire departments who provided mutual aid on scene, and to the Carleton Place Fire Department for remaining on standby at Station 1 in Almonte.

Director of Protective Services
