Statement from the Municipality - June 18, 2023 Incident in Almonte
Early in the morning on Sunday, June 18, 2023, there was an incident in Almonte that resulted in significant police response.
The Municipality of Mississippi Mills has received an update from the OPP with regards to the incident. They have begun an investigation and we ask that the public allow them to continue with their work and limit speculation on the incident.
We encourage residents to follow these tips from the OPP to secure your home:
- Use secure deadbolts on your doors.
- Secure windows on all levels of your home.
- Maintain sightlines to your property.
- Use signage to deter criminals.
- Be aware and report suspicious behaviour.
