The Almonte Old Town Hall is one of many beautiful historic landmarks within Mississippi Mills. The building was originally built in 1885 with a new wooden porch added to the front entrance in 1966.
The Almonte Old Town Hall has housed a variety of different operations such as; municipal offices, fire station, police station, jail house and municipal library.
In 1979 the property was declared a heritage site, and the roof, which is a rare type of Ontario roof finish, was repaired keeping as much of the original roof as possible.
