County Road 29 Watermain Project – Design Phase Commences

The Municipality began the design phase for the County Road 29 Watermain Project as of August 14, 2024.

The project will consist of the installation of a watermain along County Road 29 to supply water to the northwest portion of Almonte and improve water pressure and service to the Cameron neighbourhood.

The Municipality has engaged J.L. Richards and Associates to complete the design phase portion of the project, which involves gathering background information for the project, including surveying and drilling holes near the road to determine soil conditions. See the above map outlining the work area.

During this phase, residents can expect to see survey and geotechnical crews with drilling machines working on County Road 29 between Well 6 and Wylie Street. There may also be minor traffic disruptions in that area while drill crews complete the work.

It is anticipated these works should be completed by the end of this year.
