From the Office of the Mayor - In Memory of Ian Paige
It is with sadness that I share that Ian Paige, former Pakenham Township Reeve, passed on December 24, 2024.
Mr. Paige was Reeve of the former Pakenham Township from 1985 to 1988 and served as a Councillor on Lanark County Council. Prior to becoming Reeve, he represented the community as a Pakenham Township Councillor from 1977 to 1980.
His vision and leadership have a lasting effect on our community. Mr. Paige was instrumental in establishing the former Pakenham Township office, which lives on as the Pakenham Branch of the Mississippi Mills Public Library. He also contributed to the success of the Pakenham Golf Course subdivision.
As a past member of Council, flags at all municipal facilities have been lowered in Mr. Paige’s honour. Please keep his family in your thoughts and prayers during this difficult time.
Sincerely,
Mayor Christa Lowry
