Join the Mississippi Mills Accessibility Advisory Committee
The Municipality of Mississippi Mills is currently seeking members to join the Accessibility Advisory Committee.
Advisory committees and boards provide recommendations, advice and information to Council, as well as help facilitate public input to Council on programs and ideas to assist in enhancing the quality of life for Mississippi Mills residents.
The Accessibility Advisory Committee assists Council and staff in promoting and facilitating accessible services and facilities through reviews of municipal policies, programs and services and identification, removal and prevention of barriers faced by people with disabilities.
Some of the areas the committee advises Council on, include:

Requirements and implementation of accessibility standards

Preparation of accessibility reports

Review site plans and drawings in section 14 of the Planning Act
