Lanark County Seedy Saturday, March 16
Press Release – Lanark County Seedy Saturday
March 16, 2024 | 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. | Almonte Civitan Club
Seedy Saturday is back in Almonte after a four-year pandemic related hiatus. It returns as a fundraiser with all door proceeds going directly to the Lanark County Interval House to support their Perseverance Pantry Outreach Program for women in challenging circumstances.
Join us just in time to kick off the 2024 gardening season and plan to spend the day with us trading, swapping and shopping for seed, and other garden related items and produce. There will be seed exchanges, seed banks, seed vendors, free advice at the Master Gardeners table. Enjoy any of our three-part lecture series and our three-part practical workshop series. The cafeteria will be open all day.
We have revisioned this event to include a robust lecture series by locally renowned authors, gardeners and activists. We will also be featuring a practical workshop program by local experts on seed starting, composting and growing your mushrooms.
