Get ready to shake off the winter blues and welcome spring at the 2025 Pakenham Maple Run Tour this April 5 and 6, with 9 stops presenting a select group of 30 Ottawa Valley artists.

A tour like no other, Maple Run is a unique blend of art, heritage buildings and spectacular spring scenery, all set within a 40km tour route that runs right through maple syrup country.

This delightful self- guided free tour, where you can experience the charm of Pakenham and area and connect with the creators of exceptional art and fine craft, is truly a breath of fresh air after a long winter. Bring your family and friends and plan for a great spring daytrip through art, craft and the sweet traditions of maple season.

The stops:

  • A local craft breweryCartwright Springs Brewery – 239 Deer Run Road, Pakenham. (porcelain and stoneware pottery, tie-dyed garments)
  • A heritage one-room schoolhouse – the Cedar Hill schoolhouse – 270 Cedar Hill Road, Pakenham. (leatherworking, hand painted stoneware pottery, gemstone jewelry, hand-dyed yarns, baking and confections and honey products)
  • A fiery glass studio with demonstrationsthe Chris van Zanten Hot Glass Studio – 2828 Concession Road 10 North, Pakenham.
  • A family-owned and operated cidery with a restored heritage cider barn – Farmgate Cider – 4547 Mohr’s Road, Arnprior, between Galetta and Kinburn Side Roads. (pottery, woodturning, animal portraiture, natural skin care, hand-stitched leatherwork, garden sculpture and tatting, artistic blacksmithing, traditional basketry)
  • A working maple sugar bushFulton’s Sugar Bush and Maple Shop – 399 Sugar Bush Road, Pakenham. (handcrafted soy gemstone candles – and maple products!)
  • A charming coffee shop Keepers Coffee Bar – 2518 County Road 29 North, Pakenham. (upcycled textile creations)
  • A sunny and welcoming community library – the Pakenham branch of the Mississippi Mills Library – 128 MacFarlane Street, Pakenham. (paper art, handpainted jewelry, landscape paintings)
  • A custom clothing design studio – the Paddye Mann Studio – 156 MacFarlane Street, Pakenham. (custom clothing, fine art)
  • A heritage church – St. Andrews United Church in the heart of Pakenham at 2585 County Road 29 North. (weaving and felting, handmade soaps, candies and cards, quilts and sewn items, fibre art and nature photography)
