Highlights
Staff responded to several customer service inquiries this quarter and repaired three watermain breaks. With the onset of winter weather, early in Q4 staff installed hydrant markers to ensure that hydrants are visible for emergency and snow removal crews.
The monthly operating limit is the legislative limit for our drinking water system. The average monthly consumption during Q4 was approximately 39% of the operating limit.
The graph below shows an 18-month trend of drinking water usage represented by the blue line. The red line represents the monthly operating limit set by our Drinking Water Licenses.
Looking Back
In the third quarter of 2023 the average monthly usage was approximately 51% of the operating limit. When compared to the usage in the fourth quarter, we see usage declining as outdoor activities decline as we approach colder weather.
In 2022, the fourth quarter average monthly flows were approximately 38% of the monthly operating limit. Over the last year the average monthly usage in Q4 has increased by approximately 1% relative to the monthly operating limit.
