Mississippi Mills to Participate in Annual AMO Conference August 18-21
Mississippi Mills is headed to the Annual Association of Municipalities of Ontario (AMO) Conference this Sunday, August 18.
Mayor Christa Lowry, Deputy Mayor Rickey Minnille and Councillors Jane Torrance and Vicki Lowe, along with staff members CAO Ken Kelly, Clerk / Deputy CAO Jeanne Harfield and Tiffany MacLaren, Manager of Community and Economic Development, are attending the conference. It runs until Wednesday, August 21 at the Shaw Centre in Ottawa.
This year’s AMO Conference will feature more than 60 speakers, sessions and workshops including key sessions on housing and homelessness, Indigenous engagement, climate change, public safety, how to fund infrastructure, access to health care services, use of artificial intelligence and more.
