Notice of Public Meeting - November 7th, 2023 - Development Charges Background Study

On Tuesday, November 7, 2023, the Council of the Municipality of Mississippi Mills will hold a public meeting, pursuant to section 12 of the Development Charges Act, 1997, as amended, to present and obtain public input on the municipality’s proposed development charges (D.C.) by-laws and underlying background study.

All interested parties are invited to attend the Public Meeting in person or virtually. Any person who attends the meeting may make representations relating to the proposed D.C. by-laws and background study.

The meeting is to be held:

To make sufficient information available to the public, the background study is being made available online on the municipality’s website (www.mississippimills.ca) on October 5, 2023. Copies of the proposed D.C. by-laws and the background study are also being made available as of October 5, 2023, from the Clerk’s office at the above location, or call 613-256-2064.

Interested persons may express their comments at the public meeting or in writing, addressed to the Deputy Clerk. Written submissions received at the above address prior to November 2, 2023, will be circulated as part of the agenda package.

If you wish to speak in person at the public meeting, please sign in once you arrive. However, if you wish to attend and comment virtually, please preregister with the clerk's office at cmunro@mississippimills.ca with the subject line “DC Bylaw Registered Speaker Request” so we can send you a link. The maximum allotted time per delegation will be 5 minutes.
