April 28, 2021, is National Day of Mourning for persons killed or injured in the workplace. This is a day to pay our respects to, and remember, the thousands of workers who have been killed, injured or suffered illness as a result of work-related incidents, and to honour the many families and friends who have been deeply affected by these tragedies.

With the addition of a Vaccination Clinic to the Covid-19 assessment and testing services offered on-site at the Almonte General Hospital, there has been a great deal of excitement along with many questions from residents. A collaborative team of staff and physicians from the Almonte General Hospital (AGH), Carleton Place & District Memorial Hospital (CPDMH), Lanark County Paramedic Service and the Ottawa Valley Family Health Team is working alongside the Leeds, Grenville & Lanark District Health Unit to offer vaccinations close to home for our community.
